iCUE is a free unified software tool that enables you to connect all your compatible CORSAIR products together in a single interface. Developed by high-end PC gaming provider CORSAIR, this is its official component controller and is basically CORSAIR LINK and CUE combined. Unlike the two, this program functions as an all-in-one tool for customizing your PC setup and monitoring its performance—complete with cool RGB lighting controls.

It’s all coming together

If you’re a dedicated fan of CORSAIR’s products, iCUE is one of the programs you can use for better hardware integration. First and foremost, it’s a system utility that allows you to dynamically monitor your PC components like the CPU, fan, coolers, power supply, and more. These all affect your computer’s performance—especially when they overheat—so it’s great to stay on top of things by keeping an eye on these parts and their statuses. 

This program also lets you directly control your hardware settings in conjunction with any issues you may be having. Unlike other monitoring software, you can adjust fan and pump speeds to cool down and optimize your PC’s performance. The interface is fairly easy to use since it displays all your supported components. If you have CORSAIR devices that have RGB-LED lighting, you can also customize lighting patterns and effects for a unique PC build. 

That feature is great for gaming, as well. CORSAIR has game integrations with supported devices, allowing their lights to react alongside in-game events for a more immersive experience. Additionally, the software also features complex key and button remapping and multi-command macros for tedious in-game grinding. These settings can be saved into game profiles if you have different genres of games in your library, making each playthrough special.

Brand-specific tool

Overall, iCUE is definitely a step up from the previous programs—not only in features but also in device support. While it may show compatibility issues for certain hardware, the biggest drawback is that this handy tool is only for CORSAIR products. If you only have a few devices for that brand, this program may seem too broad to be of use. Nevertheless, it has hardware adjustment capabilities for a better PC experience.
